OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. This promotion is sponsored by Starwood Vacation Services, Inc. ("Sponsor"), 9002 San Marco Ct., Orlando, FL 32819. You must be a legal resident of the United States or Ontario, Canada and be 21 years of age or older as of March 1, 2010 to enter. There are four ways to enter: 1) Complete an official printed entry form available at the Vacation Services Desk in participating Starwood hotels and resorts and mail it to the address below or bring it to the front desk of the participating hotel; 2) Visit the official contest website at svowhereintheworld.com and follow the instructions found on the entry pages, subject to the terms and conditions therein; 3) Refer your friends online at svowhereintheworld.com during the life of the sweepstakes and receive one bonus entry per five (5) referrals. Referrals must not have been previously submitted. Duplicate submissions will not qualify. Limit of three (3) bonus entries via this method of entry; or 4) Mail a 3"x5" card containing the following information: your name and address including city, state and zip code, home telephone number, business telephone number and e-mail address (if applicable) through the U.S. Mail to "SVO Where in the World Sweepstakes", 74000 Country Club Drive, Building D, Palm Desert, California 92260. Entries not selected for a drawing are automatically entered in the next drawing for the duration of the Sweepstakes. Any attempts to access the website via a bot script, brute-force attack, or other improper means, will result in ineligibility of all resulting entries. Entries that contain errors or are mechanically reproduced, incomplete or illegible will not be accepted. Your answers to the survey questions will not affect your chances of winning. Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete or incorrect information, or transmission, telecommunication or service interruption. By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decision of the judges, which shall be final and conclusive on all matters. Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. PST on March 1, 2010 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PST on June 30, 2012, except for New York residents in which the Contest begins at 12:01 a.m EST on March 16, 2010. All entries become the property of the Sponsor.

2. PRIZE DRAWINGS: Two Random Mid Year Prize drawings will be held on the following dates:

   a. July 31, 2010 for entries received by June 30, 2010. Prizewinner will receive 5 consecutive night accommodations at one of the following Starwood Vacation Ownership resorts: Sheraton Vistana Villages, The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas, The Westin Kierland Villas, The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas, The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort, The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas or The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas, an Avis® certificate valid for rental of a full size vehicle for five (5) days, and a $250 Resort Certificate (valued at $1,750 USD).

   b. July 31, 2011 for entries received by June 30, 2011. Prizewinner will receive 5 consecutive night’s accommodations at one of the following Starwood Vacation Ownership resorts: Sheraton Vistana Villages, The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Villas, The Westin Kierland Villas, The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas, The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort, The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas or The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas, an Avis® certificate valid for rental of a full size vehicle for five (5) days, and a $250 Resort Certificate (valued at $1,750 USD).

   One Grand Prize drawing will be held on July 31, 2012. Mailed entries must be postmarked by June 30, 2012 and all entries received by July 10, 2012.

   a. One Grand Prizewinner will be awarded 1,000,000 Starpoints® from the Starwood Preferred Guest® program (valued at $35,000).

   Sponsor assumes no responsibility for compliance with, or restriction imposed, by any governmental travel or entry requirements, such as visas, passport requirements or similar regulations, and takes no responsibility if the prize is unavailable for use by the Prizewinner due to any such regulations. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability at time of reservation. Room reservations must be made at least 60 days in advance and are on a space-available basis. Availability is limited. Holiday and special event periods are excluded. Do not secure airline reservations until your accommodation dates are confirmed. Accommodations are for a maximum of two adults and up to two children under the age of 18. With the exception of the Grand Prize Winner, accommodations are a one bedroom villa. Stay must be consecutive nights. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Contest Rules. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, additional ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of each Prizewinner. Prizewinner must execute liability and publicity releases prior to issuance of prizes.

   Mid-Year Prizewinners will each receive a certificate from Avis® valid for a five (5) day rental of a full-size vehicle with free time and mileage at the applicable winning destination. Other expenses including refueling, insurance, taxes, upgrades, damages and additional charges are the responsibility of each Prizewinner. Must present valid drivers’ license and meet standards Avis rental requirements.

3. QUALIFICATIONS: Grand Prize winner must be a Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) member in order to receive and redeem Starpoints. No purchase or fee is required to become a member. If you are not already a member of the SPG program, you will be enrolled automatically in the program should you be drawn as a Prizewinner. Odds of winning for any prize are the number of qualified entries received divided by one (1). All prizes will be awarded. For Ontario, Canada residents only: In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered via telephone at a mutually convenient time.
4. VERIFICATION: Potential Prizewinners will be notified within seven (7) days of drawing by e-mail, phone or overnight delivery. Prizewinners are subject to verification.
5. ELIGIBILITY: Employees of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., and its subsidiaries, advertising agencies, affiliates, suppliers, and their families, prize providers and their subsidiaries, advertising agencies, affiliates, suppliers and their families are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Taxes on prize, if any, are the sole responsibility of each Prizewinner. All travel arrangements and vacation activities are the sole responsibility of each Prizewinner. Prizes are not transferable. Potential Prizewinner’s are required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where permitted by law, Publicity Release. If a Prizewinner is ineligible or prize notification is returned as undeliverable or Affidavit and Release are not returned within ten (10) days of notification, prize will be forfeited and an alternate Prizewinner selected. There will be no substitution of any prize, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Cash equivalents of any prize will not be substituted. Entry constitutes each Prizewinner’s permission to use his/her name, photograph and/or voice recordings for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
6. PRIZEWINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: For the names of the Prizewinners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to SVO Where in the World Sweepstakes Winner’s List, 74000 Country Club Drive, Building D, Palm Desert, California 92260
7. OPERATIONS: Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the Contest should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contest, and to select the Prizewinner(s) from entries received prior to the action taken. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered.
8. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: All entrants release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sponsor and each of its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees, prize providers and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest from any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this Contest and/or acceptance, use or misuse of any Prize, including liability for personal injury, death, damage or loss.
9. USE OF STARPOINTS: Starpoints will be automatically deposited into the Prizewinners’ SPG account. Use of Starpoints is subject to the terms and conditions of the Starwood Preferred Guest program. Terms and conditions of the program can be viewed on the Starwood Preferred Guest Web site at www.spg.com and are subject to change without notice. The Starpoints awarded must be redeemed within six (6) years of being deposited into member’s Starwood Preferred Guest account. Any Starpoints not redeemed by that time will be forfeited.
